Pasta in all its forms is the universal answer to “what’s for dinner?”. A fixture in the Toronto area for near 40 years the company’s standard focus was on product integrity, stringent production standards and client service. When presented with a retail opportunity under their own brand, the need for elevated packaging became apparent. With rotating and seasonal offerings, it would prove a challenge to develop custom packages for each product. Instead, we developed a system that captured product categories vs individual products. “Shells” were designed allowing in-house customization of mandatory information when / as needed.

Leading with defined in-house print production capabilities in support of SKU specification, the box shells were designed to utilize a matte finish substrate plus spot white ink. We literally directed the printer to print on the sheet underside – different yes, but we thrive on thinking outside the box.

Extension of the brand voice across a line of sauces was a natural step. Trade, in-store, and marketing materials followed. All utilizing a digitized version of company’s original 1986 brand mark. Old can be new again especially when the aim is to prove a brand’s history.
