Elementary and high school aged students are a tough lot. Setting out to teach them about food choices was the mission. Knowing that we could not be boring, we relied on puns and simple messaging. Choosing to juxtapose food sources and key food attributes we set out to show differences. We invited the group to answer the main question posed on each poster. Initially developed as two concepts, the directions were merged to create a larger message board. Translated to video, transit, and highway boards along with the intended in-school posters system the campaign was in view for several years. Remaining one of our most fun copywriting projects to date.
Spearheaded by The Ontario Produce Marketing Association in partnership with Student Nutrition Ontario and Produce Made Simple, our focus was on education and informative messaging. Fast food can be good – grab any Ontario grown fruit or vegetable – there are lots to choose from.
