While there remains critical review of the foods we eat, not as much attention is paid to the chemicals we use in our homes and surroundings. Consumers and retailers are only now really paying attention to the make-up of non-food products. Faced with a “big box” opportunity we were charged with crafting a simplified messaging system onto an existing brand. Our attention fixated on the list of clean, powerfully simple ingredients. It was obvious to us that this that was to be our north star. Plain language, easy to understand icons and adherence to the standing European brand voice allowed extension across a variety of physical formats.
